Job Requirements of Mental Health Specialist 1 or 2:
Mental Health Specialist 1 Training & Experience:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work or a related field.
One year of some experience working directly with mentally or emotionally disturbed clients in the provision of behavioral health services is highly desirable.
Mental Health Specialist 2 Training & Experience:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
Two years of responsible professional mental health experience, including one year of experience specific to the program or area of assignment.

- QMHP eligibility
- Transcripts
- NPI
- Diploma
- CV or Resume
- CADC or ability to obtain within two years.
- This position is subject to a full criminal offender information record check.
- Offers of employment are contingent upon consenting to and successfully passing a drug screening test.

About the Position
The Lane County Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults with opioid use disorder in an outpatient setting.
As a valued member of our treatment team, you will:
Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches
Collaborate closely with a team of clinicians, peer support specialists, case managers, prescriber's, and medical professionals
Support long-term recovery and wellness for our clients with care, empathy, and professionalism
What We’re Looking For:
A Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification or registration as a Clinical Associate
A strong passion for serving individuals affected by substance use disorders
Experience or interest in Medication Assisted Treatment and recovery-oriented care
A team player who values collaboration and integrated treatment approaches

About the Division
The Lane County Medication Assisted Treatment Program uses a holistic model of treatment that embraces traditional abstinence based recovery as well as harm reduction principles. We have a small, but dedicated team who provides medication assisted treatment services to help program participants reduce and ultimately end the use of heroin and other opioid drugs.
