Job Requirements of Assessment & Taxation Supervisor:
Training and Experience
- Eight years of education and/or experience in appraisals, economics, land use management, tax collection or distributions, or business administration, including at least one year of experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role; or a combination sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
Special Requirements:
- Oregon Registered Appraiser License.
- This position is subject to a full criminal offender information record check.
DRIVER’S LICENSE
Must be in possession of a valid driver's license at time of application, and a valid Oregon Driver's license by time of appointment.

Assessment & Taxation Supervisor
About this Position
Are you a dedicated leader with a passion for public service? Lane County's Department of Assessment & Taxation is seeking an Appraisal Supervisor to join our team and drive the success of our workgroup through exceptional supervisory, communication, and organizational skills.
Are you someone with appraisal experience who leads through effective communication and collaboration, mentors employees through coaching, and leads by example? Do you build strong relationships both inside and outside the organization? Can you successfully plan, prioritize, direct, and evaluate the day-to-day operations of an assigned workgroup? Do you approach leadership with an equity lens and a dedication to public service? If so, we want to hear from you!
Experience in Oregon property tax administration, particularly knowledge of Measure 50, is highly desirable.
About this Division
The purpose of Assessment and Taxation is to appraise property, to calculate, collect and distribute taxes, and to provide related information to the public in a manner that merits the highest degree of confidence in our integrity, efficiency, and fairness. We are a broad service organization mandated by the Oregon Constitution and Oregon law and collect revenue for 85 taxing jurisdictions, including local governments, schools, and special districts that provide essential public services for the citizens of Lane County.Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm
