The Impact You'll Make:
As a Bilingual Developmental Disabilities Specialist - ONA Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in administering the Oregon Needs Assessment (ONA) to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This critical process involves document review, face-to-face interactions, and interviews with the individuals, their families or guardians, service providers, and other supports.
You will be at the forefront of making a positive difference in the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, working alongside them and their support systems in various settings.
Your compassionate and professional approach will ensure that each person receives the personalized support they need to thrive.

Your days will be filled with diverse and rewarding interactions, ranging from in-person meetings to virtual connections via video conferencing, telephone calls, and emails.
Collaborating with individuals we serve, family members, advocates, service providers, and community professionals will be a central aspect of your role, enabling you to have a positive impact and enrich your experience.

About the Division

Lane County Developmental Disabilities Services strives to provide a responsive, cooperative lifespan delivery system of support, training, care, monitoring, protection and crisis response for persons with developmental disabilities and their families.
Services are designed to maximize opportunities for self-determination and self-sufficiency.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm; *Hybrid telework may be optional or a condition of employment depending on the needs of the division at the time of hire.

Job Requirements:

Training:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

  • One year of experience of working with persons with developmental disabilities.

An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. 

Testing Requirements

  • Successful hire will be contingent upon taking a bilingual test to demonstrate proficiency in both English & Spanish.

  • This position is subject to a full criminal offender information record check.   

  • Offers of employment are contingent upon consenting to and successfully passing a drug screening test.
