About the Positions:
Lane County Behavioral Health is seeking two dedicated and dynamic Crisis Services Supervisors to lead our newly funded 24/7 mobile crisis unit, offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in our community. This pivotal role involves overseeing the Crisis Services Team (CST), ensuring effective and empathetic behavioral health crisis intervention across the county. You will be at the forefront of our mission to provide comprehensive, immediate support to individuals experiencing mental health crises and emotional distress.
 
As a Crisis Services Supervisor, your responsibilities will encompass both direct and indirect services within our Crisis Services system. You will play a key role in the development, implementation, and ongoing management of clinical tools and protocols, including Mental Status Exams, Continuous Quality Control, and intake procedures. Your oversight will ensure clinical excellence on the unit through staff observation and the monitoring of budget, staffing, and compliance with state and local policies.
 
Your role extends to direct services, including conducting assessments for individuals in acute emotional or mental distress, with an emphasis on community outreach and hospital diversion where possible. You will provide clinical oversight of the crisis staff, including field supervision, and facilitate access to mental health treatment, advocating for client needs. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside licensed clinicians, peer specialists, nurses, and other professionals to deliver cohesive and effective crisis intervention services. Additionally, you will assist in policy development and maintain records relevant to suicidology, crisis intervention, mental illness, and substance abuse. This position may require varied shifts, as part of our commitment to providing round-the-clock service to our community.
 
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in behavioral health, with experience in crisis intervention, team leadership, and program management. Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with various community partners including law enforcement and emergency services, and a passion for serving those in crisis are essential. A commitment to continuous quality improvement, policy development, and the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory standards are key aspects of this role.

About the Division:
Lane County Behavioral Health provides services to more than 1,600 individuals with behavioral health conditions. We work with community partners to provide a continuum of care from prevention through treatment and aftercare in an environment that promotes a culture of resilience and recovery.

Schedule: Schedules may be variable and may include mandatory on-call, overtime, and/or non-traditional work hours including nights and weekends, and some holidays. This position includes community-based work and related travel for routine job tasks.

Job Requirements:

Training:

  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Health.

Experience:

  • Two years of professional level supervisory experience, which includes evaluative, analytical, and planning work in a Behavioral Health treatment setting. 
Special Requirements:
  • Oregon Health Licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with crisis intervention, crisis triage centers, acute inpatient units or substance abuse treatment centers or community outreach. Experience overseeing and implementing treatment service and delivery.
  • Experience facilitating complex information with community partners, such as Mental Health Courts, Acute Care/State hospitals, Jails, Parole and probation and correctional facilities.
  • Experience demonstrating technical knowledge relating to Behavioral health treatment systems and programs to include research-based and effective treatment services.
  • Experience managing systems and/or organizational development; Experience developing communication plans to maintain positive relationships with public and private entities.
  • Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations.
