About the Position

Are you a highly trained licensed Mental Health Clinician ready to make a lasting impact in our county? We're seeking clinical experts to respond to requests for assistance from those in crisis and their natural supports.  This includes telephone support and de-escalation, providing clinical support to teams dispatched across the county and providing crisis services anywhere in the community that is deemed most effective and efficient for the safely resolving crisis situations, including escalating to hire levels of care. These licensed clinicians utilize their clinical skills to support the success of our new county-wide mobile crisis service.

  • Collaborate with a dynamic team of behavioral health professionals and peer support specialists.
  • Respond swiftly to calls for service, spanning both rural and metro areas of Lane County.
  • Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and safety planning services to individuals in need.
  • Leverage their expertise, offering invaluable guidance to fellow team members.

About the Division

Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (MCIS)” means all necessary services, supports, and treatments for an individual experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Services are delivered by providers in a community-based setting and are intended to de-escalate and stabilize an individual in crisis through a timely therapeutic response that meets the needs of the individual in crisis and is individual and family centered.

Lane County Behavioral Health provides services to more than 1,600 individuals with behavioral health conditions. We work with community partners to provide a continuum of care from prevention through treatment and aftercare in an environment that promotes a culture of resilience and recovery. 

Schedule: These positions work schedule will vary.

Job Requirements:

Training:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, sociology, counseling or a related field.

Experience:

  • Three years of responsible professional mental health or professional mental health crisis experience.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. 

Special Requirements:

  • Must be in possession of a valid driver's license at time of application, and a valid Oregon Driver's license by time of appointment. 
  • Oregon Health Licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Transcripts.
  • License.
  • NPI.
  • Diploma.
  • CV or Resume.
