Job Requirements of Office Assistant 2:
Training:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Experience:
- Two years of responsible clerical and office assistance experience
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

About the Position

An Office Assistant 2 provides excellent customer service to our individuals in services and will assist with a variety of administrative tasks and duties. The Administrative Team is an integral part of our organization and is the center of organizing and running the daily operations of our division.
This position must demonstrate exceptional customer service via in person, phone and email for the Developmental Disabilities Services Division to provide assistance to individuals in services and our community partners.
This position may provide any or all of the following supports:
- Front office support including: greet individuals and check them in for appointments or direct them to the appropriate staff member; receive calls and transfer or refer calls to proper sources
- Provide complex or technical information requiring the interpretation of office or program policies and procedures in order to facilitate office operations or assist the general public
- Time-sensitive data entry, which can include: working on a variety of databases, tracking information, following up with Services Coordinators.
- Process and archive medical records, including uploading to our electronic health record.
- Process Criminal History Background Checks.
- This position also provides support to the Supervisor of the Administrative team and will perform related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Develop a deep understanding of our processes
- Be technically proficient – i.e. someone who can understand and work with our systems with ease
- Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation and positive interactions with all patients, employees, staff and providers.
About the Division
Lane County Developmental Disabilities Services strives to provide a responsive, cooperative lifespan delivery system of support, training, care, monitoring, protection and crisis response for persons with developmental disabilities and their families. Services are designed to maximize opportunities for self-determination and self-sufficiency.Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
