Behavioral Health Manager (Crisis)

Lane County Oregon, US (Onsite) Full-Time
$49.82 - $68.21/Hour

* This position is eligible for a $2,500 (pre-tax) recruitment compensation sign on at the time of appointment *

About the Position:
Lane County Behavioral Health is looking for a dynamic individual to join our behavioral health leadership team. This skilled Crisis Services Manager provides oversight of our Mobile Crisis Services Program. They manage ongoing program development/design to meet federal/state rules around SAMHSA’s Crisis Now Model. They also provide supervision of clinical supervisors and leaders within the mobile crisis team. 

The Crisis Services Manager duties include:
  • Supporting the operations of Mobile Crisis Services programing including assisting in developing efficient 24/7 workflows for CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) triaging methodologies, scheduling, and shift coverages. 
  • Provide oversight of programmatic operations of the MCS program- including review, development and maintaining required policies/procedures, identify training needs, in coordination with the operations team/training coordinator. 
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, models, and promote evidence-based crisis interventions to the team. They will report emerging trends, needs and gaps to Behavior Health (BH) leadership. 
  • Manages various aspects of stakeholder coordination including Law Enforcement agencies, Dispatch centers, Oregon Health Authority and BH providers. This will include leading and guiding program presentations to community organizations, County leaders and State representatives which includes engaging in the crisis services continuum initiative and activities in the County, regularly convening of other entities serving people in crises.  
About this Division

Lane County Behavioral Health provides services to more than 1,600 individuals with behavioral health conditions. We work with community partners to provide a continuum of care from prevention through treatment and aftercare in an environment that promotes a culture of resilience and recovery.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Five years of experience in providing behavioral health services, including 3 years of experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role; 
  • Or an equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Special Requirements:

  • Oregon Health Licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
    • Lane County will assist individuals in the license transfer process.

Desired Experiences:

  • Experience overseeing and implementing treatment service and delivery.
  • Experience facilitating complex information with community partners, such as Mental Health Courts, Acute Care/State hospitals, Jails, Parole and probation and correctional facilities.
  • Experience demonstrating technical knowledge relating to Behavioral health treatment systems and programs to include research-based and effective treatment services.
  • Experience managing systems and/or organizational development.
  • Experience developing communication plans to maintain positive relationships with public and private entities.
  • Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations.
